You have probably heard it said again and again: EXFOLIATE. If you have not, let me be the first to tell you EXFOLIATE
If you are not yet a believer let me tell you all about it. Your skin is your body's largest organ. Yes, your skin is an organ. It needs nourishment and care to be its best. Just as your body does, your skin breathes, needs food and eliminates wastes.
Every 28-40 days, on average, your skin gets a new "dress"! Yes, but not at once; the process is slow and progressive. Sometimes the products we use on our skin (ie, makeup, cleansers), lifestyle and diet can disrupt this natural process resulting in blackheads, pimples and dull skin.
That is why regular exfoliation is critical for healthy and glowing skin.

Exfoliation is the process of loosening and removing dead cells from the surface of the skin using a chemical, granular substance, or exfoliation tool. There are many ways to types of exfoliation depending on your skin type and needs. Some exfoliation products and methods may be more appropriate for dry skin types while others are more beneficial for oilier skin. Also, depending on the season (winter vs summer) or your lifestyle, you may require one option over another. For example, after a stressful week, you will probably notice your skin is duller and this is a sign that you need to exfoliate.
How do I get started?
By now, I hope I have convinced you that you need to exfoliate regularly. Weekly face masks and scrubs are an easy and effective way to incorporate exfoliation into your beauty routine. Read more about clay masks and grab this homemade scrub recipe
